Charoli — Cuddapah Almond (Buchanania lanzan) | 100 g & 1 kg

Charoli (also spelled chironji) are small, lentil-sized kernels from the Buchanania lanzan tree, native to India. With a mild, nutty flavour similar to almonds, they are a prized ingredient in traditional Indian sweets, desserts, and festive recipes. Available in retail and bulk sizes.

Culinary Uses:

  • Kheer, halwa, and shrikhand
  • Garnish for mithai (Indian sweets) and ladoos
  • Biryani and festive rice dishes
  • Sharbat (Indian drinks) and thandai
  • Substitute for pine nuts or almonds in desserts

Flavour Profile: Mild, creamy, and nutty — similar to almonds but more delicate and slightly sweet.

How to Use: Use whole as a garnish, or lightly roast to enhance their nutty flavour. Can be soaked and ground into a paste for use in gravies and dessert bases.

Available Sizes:

  • 100 g — $3.79
  • 1 kg — $49.99

Storage: Store in a cool, dry place in an airtight container. Refrigerate for extended shelf life.
